■ Introduction

In the summer of 2025, along the grueling climb leading to the ridgeline of Mt. Utsugi, a massive rock formation known as "Komaishi" suddenly comes into view. Rugged yet charmingly reminiscent of a plump, full bag, its commanding presence sparked the initial concept for the Float Pack.

Our goal was not to create a utilitarian bag divided into meticulous compartments, but rather something akin to that rock—steadfast, dependable, and acting as an open vessel that generously welcomes the user's gear.

Thus, the Float Pack was born, offering the flexibility to smartly carry only what you need, from hiking trails to daily commutes. It can be securely fastened around the waist as a hip pack, or slung over the shoulder to be worn loosely, as if gently "floating" around your body. From active outdoor pursuits to urban streets, it subtly supports your minimal gear—the absolute essentials—and expands your freedom of movement.

• Double Raschel Mesh Back Panel: The back panel features a double raschel mesh for optimal contact with the body.

• Balanced Cushioning & Breathability: Carefully selected to provide excellent airflow and cushioning while maintaining a comfortably firm, supportive feel against the body.

• All-Day Comfort: Designed with lightness and extended wearability in mind, ensuring it remains comfortable for hours whether worn around the waist or slung crossbody.

• Minimalist Interior: The internal layout is kept intentionally simple, incorporating only essential features with minimal components.

• Internal Organizer Pocket: Features a single small inner pocket designed to keep track of easily misplaced items like cards, tickets, and receipts.

• Built-in Key Hook: Equipped with a dedicated hook to secure your keys. You can access them instantly without having to rummage through your bag.

【Body Zipper】

• YKK AquaGuard® (Water-Resistant Zipper): Features the YKK AquaGuard® NATULON® coil zipper. The polyurethane film lamination provides excellent water repellency, keeping the interior safe from light rain and splashes.

• Intentional Choice of Size #5: While size #3 is standard for small pouches, we intentionally went one size larger with a #5 zipper for two key reasons:

  • Reason 1: Enhanced Durability Anticipating heavy use from the trails to daily commutes, we prioritized rugged toughness so you can use it carelessly for years to come.

  • Reason 2: Confident Usability The thicker size ensures a secure grip—even with gloves on—allowing you to pull the zipper open and closed quickly and confidently without worry.

【Ring Puller】

• Durable TPU Material: Equipped with a loop-style puller made from TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane), balancing a soft feel with the durability to withstand repetitive pulling.

• Glove-Friendly Design: The ring shape allows for easy finger-hooking, ensuring effortless zipper operation even when wearing thick outdoor gloves.

• Intentional Choice of YKK #5 Coil Zipper: We opted for a larger size #5 coil zipper for the front pocket, whereas a smaller size #3 is typically standard for pockets of this size.

• Stress-Free Usability: This specific size was chosen with a clear purpose: to ensure completely seamless, frustration-free operation for the part of the pack you interact with most.

• Balancing Toughness & Smoothness: Since the front pocket is the go-to spot for frequently accessed essentials—like trail snacks, smartphones, and tickets—this zipper delivers both the rugged durability needed for heavy use and a smooth, effortless glide.

• Innovative "UltraGrid™" Fabric: A high-performance pack fabric combining a 210-denier recycled nylon base with a grid-patterned ripstop made of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene, "Ultra™ (UHMWPE)."

• Superior Tear & Abrasion Resistance: Combining a pre-consumer recycled nylon base with thick, cross-running Ultra™ grid lines drastically boosts tear strength and durability compared to standard ripstop nylon.

• Reliable Weather Protection: Features an eco-friendly, PFC-free C0 DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish on the face, and a PU coating with a 1,500mm water resistance rating on the back to protect contents from light rain and damp ground.

• Eco-Friendly Manufacturing: In addition to utilizing recycled materials, the fabric is produced in a Bluesign® certified mill, ensuring a minimized environmental footprint.
