The Waffle Neck Wrap Towel was created to tackle the discomfort of sticky summer sweat. Driven by a deep respect—and a healthy dose of jealousy—for the lightweight portability and functional beauty of the traditional tenugui cloth long favored by hikers, it was specifically engineered to overcome the tenugui’s primary flaw: that soggy, sticky feeling when wet. The ultimate goal was to craft the perfect "in-between" hybrid, seamlessly merging the best attributes of both the tenugui and the classic towel.

Produced under the guidance of Kobo Oriza, a heritage weaving workshop based in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture. Setting itself apart from the rigid uniformity of mass-produced goods, the workshop intentionally embraces the natural texture and organic irregularities inherent in the threads and fabric. Through this mindful approach, they craft everyday essentials that seamlessly blend into daily life, fostering a deep sense of connection, attachment, and genuine emotion in those who use them.
