The Ideal Neck Wrap Towel, Born from "Jealousy" toward the Traditional "Tenugui"

The Waffle Neck Wrap Towel was created to tackle the discomfort of sticky summer sweat. Driven by a deep respect—and a healthy dose of jealousy—for the lightweight portability and functional beauty of the traditional tenugui cloth long favored by hikers, it was specifically engineered to overcome the tenugui’s primary flaw: that soggy, sticky feeling when wet. The ultimate goal was to craft the perfect "in-between" hybrid, seamlessly merging the best attributes of both the tenugui and the classic towel.

■ Three Core Features

1. A "Waffle Weave" Structure Designed for Maximum Comfort

・Non-Sticky, Refreshing Feel: The textured, bumpy surface of the fabric minimizes skin contact, leaving your neck feeling dry, fresh, and comfortable even when you sweat.

・Lightweight yet Quick-Drying: The unique weave creates built-in air pockets within the fabric. This prevents the towel from becoming heavy and bogged down when wet, while allowing it to dry rapidly.

2. "Imabari Quality" Absorbency Backed by Tradition

・Rigorous Quality Standards: The towel easily passes Imabari’s strict, proprietary "5-Second Rule"—a test measuring whether a fabric sample begins to sink within five seconds of being placed on water. This certification guarantees unparalleled absorbency (Certification No. 2026-615).

・Softness Nurtured by Soft Water: By washing and bleaching the fabric with Imabari’s pure, natural soft spring water, the cotton’s inherently delicate, plush texture is brought out to its absolute fullest.

3. "Utilitarian" Packaging Thoughtfully Designed for Secondary Use

・Inspired by the nostalgic towel packaging found in retro bathhouses and traditional kiosks, the towel comes in an unpretentious, high-density polyethylene pouch.

・Featuring a durable, thick-gauge design with a ziplock closure, the pouch is built to last. Long after opening, it can be ruggedly repurposed during outdoor adventures or daily commutes as a handy organizing bag for small items or gear you want to keep completely dry.

■ Production Background and Craftsmanship
